Delivering groceries on your usual trips (co-transport)

On a trip you already make, pick up someone's shopping in store or at a drive-through and drop it at their home, for a few euros.

How to get started

  1. Install a co-transport app (Shopopop, Tut Tut) and create your profile.
  2. Save your usual trips: commute, sport, school run.
  3. Only pick deliveries that fit those trips.
  4. Check the order at pick-up and keep to the delivery slot.

Good tips

  • It only pays off if you would have made the trip anyway.

Watch out for

  • Payments are made as tips, not as wages: no contributions and no social protection.
  • The model is being debated in court: in November 2024, the employment tribunal of Évry-Courcouronnes ruled against Shopopop for undeclared work, in a case brought by a former co-transporter. The platform has appealed (Capital, November 2025); as far as we know, the Paris court of appeal has not yet ruled.
